A Charming Shared Bedroom For Children

Hi, friends.  Happy summer to all of you.  I don't dare look how long it has been since my last post but I'm hoping today's charming bedroom more than makes up for my absence.  This bedroom is one of my all time favorite children spaces and it belongs to the lucky grandchildren of my client.  I wanted to create a special space for them to stay when they visit that felt fresh and youthful but not juvenile.  It could easily be a guest room in a Nantucket cottage or inn.

I choose a blue and gold color scheme to keep it from feeling too girly, since both genders will share the space.  I adore the layering of patterns and all the pretty gingham details.  It's a room I would love to sleep in myself.

^^ Cozy reading nook^^

^^Maybe my favorite slipped chair ever. Chair is from Lee Industries, slipcover fabric is Les Indiennes^^

^^details on the drapes, a pretty pleated gingham trim^^

^^The paper we added to the walk in closet will be repeated in the adjoining bathroom, I can't stop staring at the closet! Obsessed.^^

I'm so thankful for my client sending these pics.  I really would like to travel and get professional shots of this home when we are finished.  Dream client and dream project.
Enjoy your weekend!!
